With over three decades of experience in energy, infrastructure, and diplomacy, Elhaji Kagimu leads with integrity, foresight, and a deep commitment to Africa’s prosperity. His leadership has positioned Habib Investment Ltd as a trusted partner for governments, multinationals, and development institutions.

Japher Kalule

Director, Habib Investments & HabibOil Ltd

Japher joined the HabibOil board in 2008, bringing expertise in corporate governance and regulatory affairs. He holds degrees in Law from Makerere University and Business Administration from Newcastle University (UK), and also oversees HR and administrative systems across the company.

With a multicultural background and a passion for travel, Japher has represented HabibOil across Africa, the Middle East, and Europe. Outside work, he enjoys time with his family, music, film, reading, and playing football and basketball.

Serraj Kasule Kagimu

Chief Executive Officer, Habib investments Ltd & HabibOil Ltd

Serraj brings global perspective and technical depth to HabibOil’s digital transformation. Raised across Libya, the UK, and Uganda, he earned a BSc in Computer Engineering from Multimedia University in Malaysia, specializing in software and networking.

Before joining HabibOil, he led operations at United Telecom, managing over 500 telecom masts for Uganda’s top providers. As CIO, Serraj has modernized the company’s ICT systems, aligning infrastructure with strategic growth.

Outside work, he runs an IT consultancy and enjoys football, basketball, and travel — having explored much of Africa, Europe, North America, and Asia.

As Head of Finance, Mudi brings extensive expertise in financial management, strategic planning, and corporate governance, ensuring the organization’s fiscal health and long-term sustainability. With over a decade of experience in both regional and international markets, Mudi has successfully led finance teams across diverse industries, including energy, infrastructure, real estate, and agribusiness.

Mudi is responsible for overseeing all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, risk management, and compliance with regulatory frameworks.
